We respect your right to privacy. It is our intention to inform you of how your personal information will be gathered, tracked, used, and archived within Virtual Bell (ddqrc.com) ("the Service").

All the information transferred between you and our servers is always SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) encrypted for your safety and ours. For this reason, the Service does not work without a secure encrypted connection.

Information We Collect

When you create an account or use the Service, we may collect the following personal information:

  • Full name — provided at registration.
  • Email address — used for account access and ring notification emails.
  • Cell phone number — optionally provided; used only to deliver SMS ring notifications.
  • IP address — collected automatically for security and abuse prevention.
  • GPS location — collected from visitors when they ring a doorbell, and optionally from account holders when setting a doorbell's registered location.

We only use this information to operate the Service and to safeguard it against unauthorized use or abuse. We do not share personal information with parties outside your organization without consent.

We use Google Analytics to monitor the performance of our public web pages. Google Analytics creates their own cookies independently and we are not responsible for their content or their privacy and cookie practices. You can review Google's privacy and cookie policies online.

Cookies and Persistent Storage

The Service may use cookies and other persistent storage from time to time. This enables us to personalize and/or to remember the state of screens and settings in order to ease navigation and access during your return visits to the Service. The Service does not work without being able to remember basic settings between visits.

Location Information

The Service may access your web browser's location information and may transfer this information to our servers whenever you are logged in. This information allows designated members of your organization to know where you are in real-time. It also enables the Service to notify clients of your location and impending arrival.

The Service will ask you for permission to access your web browser's location before accessing the information.

SMS Notifications

By providing a cell phone number at registration or in your doorbell notification settings, you consent to receive SMS text message ring notifications from Virtual Bell (ddqrc.com). SMS messages from Virtual Bell are sent exclusively to notify you when a visitor rings one of your active Virtual Bells. We do not send marketing or promotional SMS messages.

SMS notifications are only sent when you have an active paid subscription for the applicable doorbell, a visitor rings that doorbell, and SMS notifications are enabled in your dashboard.

Message frequency varies based on visitor activity at your registered doorbell locations. Msg & data rates may apply. You are responsible for any such charges from your wireless carrier.

To opt out of SMS notifications:

  • Reply STOP to any message from us (takes effect immediately).
  • Disable SMS notifications in your Virtual Bell dashboard.

To re-subscribe, reply START or re-enable in your dashboard. For help, reply HELP or email support@ddqrc.com.

Your cell phone number is stored securely and is never sold or shared with third parties for any purpose. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for any purpose, including marketing or promotional purposes. This includes, without limitation, text messaging opt-in data and consent records.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

See our Terms and Conditions for full SMS program terms.

We limit the amount of information accessible to these contractors to keep the personal information of customers secure and confidential.
